Bug ! Upload Image in Theme Panel = Syntax error if Caption image exist.

Hello,
this is just a bug report, I’m not looking for support.

I have an issue and I think it’s may be a bug.
If I try to set a background image in “Theme background” using the upload button, and if this image have any char in “caption” I get this error:

If I remove the “caption” the image will be set as background.

This issue happen with all images options in the “Theme panel”, logo, favicon …

Hello !

Can you let us know where this error appears on your side ? We have tested this on our side and I cannot find any error regarding this. Or if possible send a screenshot.

I’m in process to remove Newspaper from my WordPress. When I’m finish I will re install locally an old version of my website and send you a video of the issue.

sorry for the delay.

I have re-installed on a local server (unix) the new version of Newspaper Version: 10.3.9.1 and I do not have anymore the error message, but the bug still here.

As you ca see on the video, if the image have a Caption text, this image cannot be set as background.

Indeed this seems to be a bug in the theme. I have just informed our developers about it and they will take a look at it in order to get it fixed.
