Hi!
Mobile results on Google for Streamwijzer show the standard WordPress favicon instead of the actual one from my website (www.streamwijzer.nl), even though it was always set up correctly and I never had problems with it. Also, Google Search Console indicates that https://www.streamwijzer.nl/favicon.ico is 302 redirected and when visiting that URL, I again see the WordPress favicon.
Would be curious to hear how to solve this. Thank you in advance.
Warm regards,
Siebren
Hello !
This is how your website looks when accessing it from a google result: https://www.screencast.com/t/vPmxu3VPZnQ
Everything seems to be in order. Please make sure to clear your cache.
Thank you !
Thank you for the response Vlad, but that is not my website. ?
https://www.streamwijzer.nl –> that is
I have the same problem
On the desktop version, favicon appears normal.
However, the standard WordPress favicon appears on google search snippet. The one I set in FAVICON just gone in google search snippet.
Hello !
This seems to be a weird issue. Please contact google and ask for a re-crawl as shown here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/crawling/ask-google-to-recrawl
Thank you !
Hi Vlad,
Thank you for your reply. However, the link you sent is about reindexing a specific URL (not an entire website). Also, the specific URL recrawl function has been shut off by Google for several weeks already, as appeared in the news.
Moreover, this is not an issue that only I have but also ‘newspaper-user-2’ and ‘MJ’. Could you please take an extra look into what’s going wrong?
Warm regards,
Siebren
Hello !
We are sorry for the late reply, due to our national holiday the support was restricted and we had 2 days off.

Our team will take a look !
Thank you !
Is the problem resolved for you? It’s so unfortunate that we all have to face this problem, it’s not desirable to send the login details to the staff to let it fixed. It should be indexed in the right way after setting the right favicon in the theme panel.
