Hi,
Yes there will be some updates for theme compatibility with WordPress 5.6 and php 8, unfortunately I can not say for sure when those will be made.
We try to make a theme update in this month.

Hi,
For the moment our developers are working to make some update to improve the theme for CLS and accessibility, therefore I thing that this update will not provide the compatibility with php 8, but this is on our list of compatibility.

Hi luke-tt,
We made few tests with the latest Newsmag version and WordPress 5.7.1 and php 8, until now the theme seems to work correctly without problems.

Hi aleister,
There will be a theme update for Newsmag and in present all the implementations that are add to Newsmag current version 4.9.6, (“released 5 months ago”) there were no problems found with php 8.

Hi luke-tt, yes, you can use it, those are compatible, just make sure that you have Newsmag v4.9.6 or v5.
