Hello
– For images – would shortpixel work good with Newspaper theme?
It removes image size – and also has a smart image feature that crops image for the best content display.

Hi, it may work, unfortunately I can not say it for sure, this need to be tested. I recommend if you can do test it on subdomain or staging.
