how to make wptouch to work with this theme?

Hello, i have been working on mobile speed for my website for a very long time, i followed all the instructions to speed it up. since i changed my template to responsive on mobile, my earnings and pageviews has dropped significantly, that is probably because of slow load on mobile.

my point is, if on desktop my website is making 100 requests and page size is 1 mb then for mobile it will be same.. but where desktop load it easily mobile will take time to load it!

so here is where i am trying to work, i tried to install wptouch plugin to my website but it is not working with it, it is showing shortcodes at home page..i tried to search on forums for solutions but nothing worked for me.

i have been on ur forum for a long, you guys are pretty good and reply all of us, but you need to fix this issue, because people who buy your theme, expect that it would help them to enhance their revenue. no doubt your theme is awesome on desktop but it do killing revenue for people who get most of their traffic from mobile, like me, i have 75% mobile traffic and it killing my mobile revenue!

please take this issue seriously and come up with solution, as mobile traffic is increasing everyday!
please come up with solution for us or we will have to change the theme!

Thank you!

I have a question,

Are you installing WPTouch to try and “save” and recover from the loses you experienced?

What did you use before the newsmag theme?

Was it responsive, how is google indexing the new theme.

I haven’t ever experienced a drop like this….. and I have around 50 percent of my traffic is Mobile.

If anything I lost more traffic trying out WP Touch Pro then using a normal desktop theme (as bad as that sounds)

Also which are you using to test page speed?

Hi,

@gouravgola
Unfortunately this is how the theme works. We currently have this on our todo list and we are trying to find a solution for it, but I can’t let you know how long it will take for this.
You could use js to detect mobile screens and load different content but you will need custom work for that. The theme hasn’t been designed to use a mobile template.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks for the message!

Hi,

did you find any solution? I like to use WPtouch too, because it’s much faster than the responsive feature. Google Pagespeed 49 points to 73.

Or do you have any plans to speed up the Newsmag responsive feature?

Thank you!

Hi,

Unfortunately we haven’t sat to discuss on this so we haven’t decided anything on this yet. We’ll keep this post updated and as soon as we have a point on this we’ll let you know.

If you are looking to speed up your site you have to follow the intrusions from the treads and guide below:

Is there any update to this issue? WPTouch compatibility would be a really great thing or a trimmmed version of Newsmag for mobile users. For this I would pay too! Either way, please do something.

Thanks!

Hi,

is there any update on this? It would be soooo great, if Newsmag works properly with WPTouch.

Unfortunately not as we have not managed to do any tests in this concern eventually due to the amount of requests and matters present on our todo list or their required solutions. Sorry!
Currently a mobile theme usability is still not tested for newsmag theme. We plan to develop and offer an alternative solution for this however I cannot give you any additional details on this at the moment.

Thank you!
