I have installed the plugin WP User Avatar and have a user set up with an avatar image uploaded, as shown here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xtm0babf3cxt4l5/WP%20User%20Avatar%201.png?dl=0
But when I view a page with this user’s author box live, I see the default image I uploaded, as shown here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/wsjfqc9s9adgxyp/WP%20User%20Avatar%202.png?dl=0
Here are my current WP User Avatar settings, although I have tried numerous settings and everything seems to be correct from the plugin side as best as I can determine, so I suspect there’s something on the Newspaper theme side that is not displaying the avatars correctly.

Please let me know if there’s any further information I can provide.
Sorry. The way the WP User Avatar plugin works, you can set a fallback image to display whenever a particular user does not have an avatar set. In this case, this user *does* have an avatar set, but the fallback image is displaying instead (and this is the case for every test user I’ve created and added an avatar to). Since the plugin seems to work correctly without the Newspaper theme, I’m wondering if there’s an incorrect hook or something somewhere in the theme causing the fallback image to display instead of the user’s image. Since this plugin is listed as being compatible, I was just wondering if anyone else had come across this yet.

I have sent you the email as instructed. Thank you for your help with this!
I’m bumping this again because I replied to your email indicating that you did not address my problem but the issue was closed anyway. I’m seeing that at least one other person on this forum is having the same issue.
Again, my problem is that theme is displaying the default, fallback image for users rather than the user’s chosen avatar. If this is an issue that you cannot address, perhaps this plugin should be removed from the list of plugins known to be compatible with the theme?
Thank you for your help, my problem has been solved. For anyone else who may be following this, it turns that displaying the avatar is tied to email, so if you’re setting up accounts without emails, it won’t work.
