Can you confirm to me that point 1 and 2 are managed by the theme?
1. Make sure it meets the image requirements set forth by Google here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/article.
2. If it is possible to add a caption to the image, please do so. This can help Google better understand the image.

Hi,
1. Yes, the theme and amp plugin handles this https://i.imgur.com/AbVyKuX.png
2. For the moment the images that has caption can be inserted only if you set the link in field, selecting the image from media library will not work if the image has caption, but this is on our list to improve.
