I am trying to set a background picture for a specific category page:
In this case Kultur (Culture). There is however no effect whatsoever when doing this. I cannot change the background color either.
How to proceed?
Hello,
If you add the background image, please make sure the option BACKGROUND BOXED LAYOUT is enabled => https://www.screencast.com/t/3XSl050n
Thank you!
Okay, I did that. I also had to check “Stretch” or “Tiled” for it to show up.

However, the background is only out on the edges.
Is it possible to have a background picture for the entire page (between header and footer).
Hello,
I just checked your website and seems you have set a background color on the category template => https://www.screencast.com/t/pNUNMLVAV9E
Another solution if you have a category template from the cloud library, you can set the background image on the zone, but this image will be displayed for all categories.
Thank you!
Well, I am not able to remove the background color. If I leave it blank (not set) it still comes out as I have set white. Maybe this is a bug?
So I would have to make a template for each category then? That seems a bit hard.
It doesn’t seem I can get a complete fill with a background picture either. There is the center picture and then two sides that way.
Hello,
To have the whole page set as the background image, like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/Rl3LJZVNoM please disable the option BACKGROUND BOXED LAYOUT from Theme Panel -> Theme Colors -> General theme color => https://www.screencast.com/t/2R6KneaZVA
Hope this helps you!
Thank you!
Thanks for your excellent help :-). It would be great to put this short thread into your manual. hahahhaha.

Now my final problem is that the font color for the timestamp cannot seem to be changed.
Any ideas about this?
Hello,
I saw you use block 1, so to change the color of date, you need to use this custom code if you want => https://www.screencast.com/t/B1HCLERy
.td-post-date
{
color: red;
}
For the background image, you can upload what image do you want, we do not recommend a certain size, but if it has a small size then it will appear pixelated.
Thank you!
Hello,
This is how the option to set a background image on the category page works, it will also appear in posts that contain that category.
So, if you want only on the category page the only solution as I said above, you need to set on each category an image on the zone, like this => https://www.screencast.com/t/wj0yHgHKXih
I made a video that can help you => https://we.tl/t-HWv0sv7LJI
Thank you!
I set the background to white for the single posts template. That way I only have the background picture for the overflow part of the post of desktops.
But then I ran into a new problem.
This page does not have the background picture at all:
https://www.frikurir.se/moderat-arab-domd-for-hedersvald-fick-medalj-av-kungen/
But this one does:
https://www.frikurir.se/aklagare-petra-hedberg-lat-afghansk-sexualbrottsling-stanna/
How to solve and understand that? They are using the exact same template….
So, anyway, it looks like I can use something called a “global template” as well…..

So it seems the template behaves differently depending on how it is selected.
Here is was manually chosen:
Here it is selected through the global option:
When using the global option the background picture for the category appears.
