Stripe checkout is frozen, until tag div composer is disabled, then it works. So far , I have tried:
1. checking on a different server on staging
2. disabling all plugins except WooCommerce, Stripe and tag div composer
3. reverting the theme and tagdiv
4. reverting woocommerce
5. trying a few different stripe for woocommerce plugins
6. creating a COMPLETELY NEW BLANK SITE and installing WooCommerce, stripe plugin, theme and tagdiv
And the issue is still there.
If needed, I can provide access to the staging site. Thank you.
I have had the same problem since the last update of composer. The memberpress and stripe support team investigated the problem and said that “The tagDivComposer plugin is breaking the Stripe.js library. You will need to contact the developer to fix it as it’s breaking the global javascript code.”. They put a temp fix that got Stripe checkout working again and you can see what they did at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Sjq1UyiezdsfG0GDIKKEUdaH3WHWpITX/view?usp=sharing
However, this fix stopped a lot of TD Composer’s functionality (like right click, color selection etc.) I have reported this information to Tagdiv two weeks ago as a bug report but haven’t heard anything back yet.
I’m really hoping that the next update fixes it.
Thank you, this worked as a temp fix, I hope they resolve it for good.
Good to hear! Could you tell me how you removed or disabled that hook/function as I’m not sure how to do it (as the Stripe support person did in the image). I can find the lines 35-48 in the file but I don’t know what to type in.
I don’t think it’s good enough that TagDiv reply that you can only use plugins that TagDiv have tested. That may be OK for obscure plugins but for major systems (especially with ecommerce applications) like Stripe and Memberpress with many hundreds of thousands of installations they shouldn’t be breaking them with a page builder. We lost around USD$2,000 because potential members couldn’t pay to join before we got the workaround going.
