Is jQuery migrate required?

Hi,

I was wondering if jquery is actually required by newspaper theme or it can be safely dequeued and thus help us improve performance metrics.

Of course I know that some third-party plugins may need it, I was just wondering if this is the case for Newspaper.

For your information, currently we’re using the following scripts:

– plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js?ver=10.4
– plugins/js_composer/assets/js/dist/js_composer_front.min.js?ver=4.11.2

Yes, it is important for many functions in the theme. So, it would not be recommend it to remove it.

I’ve just realized I forgot to specify that I was referring to jQuery Migrate. Is it also required?

If you have the latest theme update, then it is no longer required for our theme.
