Transfering Chow to Newspaper/Recipes

Is there any way to transfer existing data from Chow theme that uses FoofiePress plugin for recipes to Newspaper theme?
I would of course like to keep URLs and rich snippets that are displayed with images in SERP for most of the recipes. Existing theme has not been updated for years and the same goes for the plugin so I think it will very soon be a problem and since I am using Newspaper theme on 2 other webpages and I am used to it I was thinking about this option first, but because the recipes are inserted via plugin I have no idea if this will be possible.

Hello!

First of all make a full backup.
The only thing that will not be kept after switching to our theme would be the Chow theme’s specific settings.
Other things such as URL or recipe format made with that plugin should not be affected, only if it is a conflict with our theme. You should test and see, because that FoofiePress plugin is not a tested one with our theme.

Thank you!

Hello,

but the problem is, your theme has it’s own rich snippet module if I was to chose GOURMET PRO template for example. Also I think the plugin does not have a support anymore and has not been updated for a very long period.

Is there any way to transfer the recipes from plugin to the actual post or I would have to do it by hand? Does Gourmet pro support rich snippets in the same way – like this plugin that Google sees as a recipe and displays it with image in the SERP?

Thanks!

Hello!

Unfortunately, there is no way to transfer the exactly format in posts.

We are sorry for the inconvenience!

Hello,

I have checked GOURMET PRO with the Structured Data Testing Tool but it detects recipes as Article not as Recipe as it does for my existing website so I guess using Newspaper for this is not the option.
