category filter

Hello, Newspapar.

I need to your help.

I made homepage using Newspaper and Fitness theme.

and i made category for POSTs.

I want to show a list of POST as “related posts” in the post detail view.

For example, if the selected “THE WORLD 1”, the POST has an “world-west” category.(ignore the “location” and “universe”)

SO, I want to only the POSTs to appear in the list in “world”. (NOT subject)
that result is “THE WORLD 1”, “THE WORLD 2”, “THE WORLD 3”.

If am i click “THE WORLD 4”, this POST as “related posts” is NOTHING.

so. I try to use filter.

2. Filter > Multiple categories filter

However, the desired result did not come out.

1) -100 : NOTHING
2) 109 : subject all
3) 110,111,~119 : same to 2).

so How can I make only other posts in the category of the selected post appear?

this is my category tree.

(I’ll explain it with the category number.)

“1” Post have 193,194,196,197,200,201,205.
“2” Post have 193,194,196,197,200,201,220.
“3” Post have 193,194,196,199,200,204,376.

and I want to ignore the A and B categories.(I’m talking about A & B in the screenshot.)

Assuming the category is excluded,
“1” Post have 200,201,205.
“2” Post have 200,201,220.
“3” Post have 200,204,376.

SO, if I select the “1” post, I want only “2” to appear as the related post in “1”‘s detail view.
also, if I select “3” post, related post is nothing.

I’m using the auto-generated post template in the fitness demo.
and try to use multiple category, but it doesn’t work.

1) i choose under 201 and 204. But when I select “1”, “2”&”3″ come out.

1-2) I think the problem is that all posts have “200”, so I tried choose under 201 and 204 and added “-200” –> nothing.

2) and try excluded A and B categories. Then nothing comes out.

When I click on the post, I only want each category to appear in the related post.
(Only posts belonging to “201”, only posts belonging to “204”.)

I don’t know if I explained it correctly. I hope you will review and answer.

I tried the ways you told me, but it failed.
