Very weird issue. The only reason I suspect it is caused by the theme is because if I change the theme, I don’t have the problem.
Ever since I updated to the 1.6 version, all my wordpress pages show completely blank. Nothing, nada. So I first thought it was the permalinks or the .htaccess, so I reset both. Then I thought it was the speed booster plugin, or wprocket, but disabling this didn’t help.
As a last resort I tried the 2015 wordpress theme. When I switch, my pages show fine.
I am running a child theme with one custom function in it, but even if I activate newsmag parent, still blank pages.
Visually I see a blank page, but if I show source, I can see some code there.
I don’t see how I can make a private post to add my WP credentials.
Somewhere in forum is the email to send link to the tagdiv support. I don’t have link at hand.
I *do* recommend trying my “how to upgrade …” option. I upgraded site from 1.4 to 1.6, and other than the usual issues with some of the sidebars going wonky, or the shortcodes that changed for home page layout with 1.5, it all works fine.
However I don’t use child themes due to the inherent eventual doom — !
Went through that with Canvas, Genesis, etc. .. never again!!
I think I discovered the issue, and I think it is a coding problem with Newsmag.
Prior to 1.6 I could have Visual Composer (Which I completely hate) disabled and everything would work fine. In 1.6 if Visual Composer is not active, even if you are not using it for ANYTHING, it breaks your website.
This is pretty sad.
Please fix your code and make Visual Composer optional like it was prior to 1.6
