I want to use the latest posts functionality on our frontpage but get the full texts. Is one of the modules connected to this type of layout and if so which one should I tweak to get a nice frontpage showing only exerpts?

For blog template you can change the articles display view from Theme Panel > Template Settins: http://screencast.com/t/eUb18nSluq

If you use “Pagebuilder + Latest posts” template you can change the module to display articles: http://screencast.com/t/PlqKSsg9NEF
