While there is a comments box showing and people can submit comments (as I can see from the dashboard), these comments are not actually appearing on the site. Take the following article for example, which has two comments on it but neither shows on the front-end even though comments are approved.

There are two approved comments on this post. The back-end shows this. But I can’t see them on the front end.

Have you tried this without any plugins active? Please do so and also make sure you empty all caches and/or purge files if you use cdn then check again and let me know how it goes.
