Creating a separate post page

For my site I need to make a 2nd post page layout so that I can have different layouts for different articles. The main post page doesn’t have a lot of items on it whereas the 2nd one will have tags and other functions. Where is this achieved?

Hello!

Yes, you can create or import a cloud post template from Cloud Library and assign it to your articles per categories from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/FsLVzDHhS

Then that would change all of the posts. I don’t want to do that. I want certain posts to have a different setup altogether.

Hello!

Then edit a post normally(not with TagDiv Composer), scroll down to the post settings and there you can choose which ever template you want from the “Post template” setting.

Thank you!

You are not understanding.

All posts (pages) used the same template. There are some occasions I don’t want to use that so a few articles look different with different layout.

Hello!

Ok, so please let me know exactly what you need to achieve because I really do not understand where is the issue? Or which layout you need? It is only like that, you can select a template or another one. You can not have a second template for the same post in the same time.

Thank you!

A user creates a new post within wordpress. The new post is saved for publication on the site. This post is saved under a specific category. This category is sent to the menu so that when you click the menu for the category all of those articles are displayed. We utilize categories to differentiate posts.

On the site itself I am using the menu that points individual menu items to pages and those pages were made within the TAGDIV Composer. However, one menu item goes to a category of posts for the blog section.

In that blog section, I want the posts to appear differently than those on the different pages. For all of the other posts I went into an example post and used TAGDIV Composer to set the layout of that post so that everything would conform to this.

I now want to change just the layout of certain posts to confirm to a different layout where I’ll have things added like TAGS and possible videos and so on. If I make a new layout I don’t want it to effect all of the other posts.

NEVER will 1 post have two different layouts. Either its going to have LAYOUT A or LAYOUT B.

Hello!

I just explained you above how simple you can change a post template. Check this video, so it could help you to succeed: https://www.screencast.com/t/6YTcP2n1b

Does this mean that for every post I do that I want something different that I’ll have to create a new template layout?

Hello!

Yes. Because if you have the same template assigned for all posts, then all the settings will reflect on all your posts.

Thank you!

Is there no easier or efficient way of doing this? I’m going to end up with hundreds of individual templates.

Hello!

At the moment unfortunately there is no other way.

Thank you!
