After purchasing the Newspaper template, we encountered a hacker who hacked the site, deleted the site’s content, and tampered with the WordPress script

Please note that Newspaper Theme is not a security plugin. We do recommend you to talk to your host and let them know about your issue. Also a security plugin will come in handy.
