When version 11 came out, I set up a staging area to install the new version in case anything went wrong. The update went without problems, but ever since I moved the staging site to live, the updates page constantly says I need to update Newspaper to the same version that is currently installed. It wants me to update version 11 to version 11.
How can I trigger WordPress to correct that?

Hi,
This situation occurred only on live website after you migrate it from staging? Do you use child theme? Also the theme update was made using FTP/cPanel or the option from Newspaper> updates? This will help use to understand what can be the problem.
What you can try to use this option https://i.imgur.com/vyxJAnW.png in this way it should check the current theme version and if there are new version.
Thank you!
I can’t say with 100% certainty that the issue did not occur while the site was still in staging, but I know that I was never reminded of another theme update until after I moved the site from staging to live.
I use MainWP to help me manage my websites. I found about the Newspaper theme update discrepancy when MainWP indicated that an update was available for the theme soon after I updated to version 11.
I do not use a child theme.
The theme update was done from the Dashboard > Updates page. The Newspaper plugins were updated from Dashboard > Newspaper > Updates > Plugins.
Dashboard > Newspaper > Updates indicates that my theme is up to date.
As the following screenshot shows, the Dashboard > Appearance > Themes pages also says there is an update available for Newspaper.

Thanks.
