Automatic Post Delete, Changes Reverts

Hi,

I am having some issue and would like to know if it is because of Theme or not and if you could help.

On 10 March I saved a post in draft which was not available next day i.e on 11 march.

Yesterday on 11 March I posted 3 articles on my website, added some images in those article and published it. All three of them were up and running and till night got 200 page views as well.

I also deactivated a plugin. Made some changes in menu as well. Everything was working fine.

Today on 12 March when i logged in to dashboard I could not find yesterday’s article, like it was never written. I checked site and the menu was exact same as it was day before yesterday, plugin that I deactivated was activated as well.

I checked file manager, the image that I uploaded was there but I could not find it in media, from WP dashboard.

I am confused about what actually happened here? Should I panic? I talked to my hosting provider and they said nothing was done from their side. They told me to check theme and plugin. I am running latest version of WordPress.
It would be great if you can give some advice.

Hi,

The theme doesn’t have any “Automatic Post Delete, Changes Reverts” options. Not sure how this could and if it is possible.
Try to disable all plugins leave just the Visual Composer active then make sure you empty all caches you use and also purge files if you use cdn host.
After doing all this make some changes like you did in the first place and if this happens again.

I also suggest you go trough this WordPress’s guide on hardening your WordPress: http://codex.wordpress.org/Hardening_WordPress and also contact all your users whit administrative roles (if you have other users) and also take into considerations changing your admin panel password then give it a while and try to see if this happens again.
Hope this helps!

Thanks
