Categories displayed in home with Pulses Pro

Hi all,
I’ve today uploaded the demo Pulses Pro, but now I would change the category setting in home. The problem is that I still didn’t see from where I have to start to custom the setting.
I also would like to know if there is a specific section where I can find tutorials for this theme options, that is the best for my scientific magazine.
