When I select the circled template it turns my page into a blog.. I do not want posts to display as a blog i want them to display as a single post..

Please check the settings from Settings -> Reading to see if your post page is set up as a blog, select the pro template from here: https://digitalsoldiers.show/c3p/blogproblem.png and see the results.
If you do not mean this, then please more information about the issue, screenshots or a video.
