How can I add podcasts?

I want to add podcasts to my website. I see you support this feature, on themeforest page. How can I add podcasts? What should I use?

At the moment you only offer featured audio via SoundCloud. Compared to featured video option, where you offer multiple player links just as youtube and Vimeo, only SoundCloud for audio is a little less. This is a paid service, don’t think every podcaster will use it. We host with Anchor.fm, are actually on every single available platform listed you don’t need to pay for. Are there any plans to add other options next to SoundCloud? We would love to create featured audio posts in the future.

I suggest using Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin, Newspaper theme does not have its own podcast option or plugin.

The feature is already there. See “Featured audio” it’s basically like “featured video”, but it only works at the moment with SoundCloud. If you don’t host there, you can’t use. While Video works with the most common platforms just like YouTube and Vimeo. We don’t need a plugin. We can embed each podcast regularly. But we would love to feature it as we do with video.

Thank you for taking it in consideration. It would be awesome if we could use the feature with e.g. Spotify links.

My client uses Podbean and it is really a shame that a theme of this caliber limits it’s users to SoundCloud.

To not have the ability to work with multiple podcasts, how are you able to promote your channel across the other platforms? I’m sitting here trying to figure out how to get a “Subscribe To My Podcast” on “iTunes or Google Play” or heck, even “SoundCloud” I don’t see a widget of any sort for audio in the page builder.

Pretty crazy if you ask me.

We created a landing page now for the podcast content: https://sherides.de/podcast/ There we let the community know that the podcast can be found almost everywhere and ask them to follow.

Also we create a post for each podcast and just embed the spotify podcast, like we would do with a youtube video. Ok, yes, there is no podcast in the featured image now, but at least you can listen to it on the website.

The feature requested would still be great.

I would like to add to this. I host my podcast through buzzsprout and I’ve tried three different plugins tonight and nothing works, including Buzzsprouts plugin. I will do what was suggested here with embedding spotify and making a landing page where we can be found. But what a pain that I have to do this with every episode and not have it automatically update with a feed.
