Image Could Not Be Loaded

Hello,

I’m running into issues with “Image #1 (etc) Cannot Be Loaded”

I’ve checked Theme Panel > Post Settings > General Modal Image (OFF)

I’ve tested 3-rd party plugins

I’m running WordPress 5.9 and Newspaper 11.4.1

I’ve regenerated thumbnails

Any other ideas?

Hello @vincentalain!

Please check if the LazyLoad is disabled: https://www.screencast.com/t/O5pfqQdb
If not, then the problem could be from a plugin conflict or a cache issue, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache from your browser and try again.

Hope that helps you!

Thank you!

Good Morning @Bettina,

I have checked LazyLoad, it was not disabled. I tried with it turned on and off, the same result.

I also disabled any plugins besides tagDiv and still have the same result. I tested on Google Chrome and Firefox with browser cache cleared for both.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Vincent

Hi @bettina,

I’m having exactly the same problem as Vincent with Modal Images. I’m running WordPress 5.9 and Newspaper 11.4.1.

I’m using the ‘Default PRO’ theme.

I have deactivated all plugins using the ‘Health Check & Troubleshooting’ plugin. Only ‘tagDiv Cloud Library’ and ‘tagDiv Composer’ are active.

I thought it may be my child theme, so switched to the Newspaper Version: 11.4.1, but it made no difference.

I also used the Time Machine and installed Newspaper Version: 11.4, it made no difference.

I have ‘General Modal Image’ ON and ‘Use loading animation image’ OFF.

A link demonstrating the problem at https://www.news.cyprus-property-buyers.com/2022/02/11/foreign-buyers-returning-droves/id=00165079

Hello @nhowarth!

I’ve checked the link and I can see that your images are fully loaded. Did you solve the issue? Please delete the cache and try again. If the problem is still there, then please provide more information about your issue.

Thank you!

Hi @bettina,

Yes – the images are fully loaded, but if you click on them you get an error message ‘the image #x could not be loaded’.

Modal images are not being displayed.

Hi @bettina,

Unfortunately the topic at: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/the-image-2-could-not-be-loaded-2/ didn’t help, but it got me thinking!

The second image pops out correctly as a modal image when I (a) Set ‘General Modal Image’ ON and (b) set ‘Modal image’ OFF in the Image details when I edit the post.

You can see the settings at https://imgur.com/a/mU83OHr

BUT when I click on the Featured Image in the post, I get an error message “The image #1 could not be loaded”.

Here’s the code for the featured image that does not work correctly:

<div class="tdb-block-inner td-fix-index">

Here’s the code for the second image that does work correctly:

Hi @bettina,

Please ignore my earlier reply. The topic at: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/the-image-2-could-not-be-loaded-2/ didn’t help, I’ve still got the problem.

(The changes I made enable a full size image to be shown when I click on it, but not as a Modal Image.)

Hi nhowarth,
I just checked some of your image and the problem is not on all of them or not every time -> https://i.imgur.com/8hcAopj.png if I refresh the page and I click on the featured image -> https://i.imgur.com/sqhfi2N.png
So maybe this has something to do with the settings.
Also, looking to the above code that you provided, it is possible to be some extra plugin interfering, the image should have less formats.
Also, make sure that the modal image is enabled in the theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/eBHIX42.png and check to make sure that the light box is enabled on the featured image -> https://i.imgur.com/kob7N1u.jpg
Thank you!

Hi Calin

Thanks for your advice. I’ve check my settings and the Featured Image on the post is working as a modal image, but the second image is still failing with the error “The image #2 could not be loaded”.

I disabled all non-TagDiv plugins, and you can see my settings, etc screenshots at https://imgur.com/a/qLaeAkH

I don’t know where to look next.

Nigel

I started a new topic and then found this thread . . . If using custom post layouts are there specific settings in a custom post layout that needs to be changed?

Could a CDN tool cause the image modal load issue?

Thanks

Post count: 21065

Hello!

Please disable the CDN temporarily and see if this is causing the issue.

Thank you!

Hi, I’m reposting this thread because the problem has started to appear on our site iegexpomagazine.com for a few days

We followed ALL the instructions already reported (modal, lightbox, disabling plugins, etc.) but without any result. I would like to point out that the images used in the posts are on our server (no external URL), but the error occurs constantly. It is obviously very frustrating.

We have just sent you an email to be able to investigate the problem from the back-end (with access to the site and cPanel).

Thank you
