First of all, thank you for the detailed page speed optimization tutorial, every advice is golden.
At the first moment we achieved 94/100 on mobile and 95/100 on Google PageSpeed Insights tool
We are using all of your suggested code, and tagDiv Speed Booster plugin (which i edited as suggested and added missing render-bloking scripts)
And it worked great for a while.
Now, all of the sudden, mobile speed dropped to 68/100, but we didn’t change anything, it happened by itself. Main reason according to Google PageSpeed is appearance of render-blocking scripts again (only for mobile, which is curious.. desktop test is still 95/100, with no render-blocking scripts). I checked, and scripts reported as render-blocking on mobile ARE included in tagDiv Speed Booster and should not be render-blocking
Any ideas or tips on how we could fix this?

Hi,
Google modifies the test all the time and for some reasons the test on mobiles is more rigorous.
I suspect the css generated and added by theme to the page is the cause of this as it’s loading after the resources pointed in page speed test.
Not sure what could be done in this case you could try to also test this without plugins and check to see if you noticed any differences.

Google has made the mobile test more “rigourous” as part of the push to ding sites for not being mobile friendly starting late April 2015; and they are sending cautionary emails to websites not mobile ready.
But it looks like they went a bit nuts on the mobile test …
Some of my “perfect” sites suddenly dropped also for things which technically don’t matter.
I have a hunch this will “adjust” — as they are “right now” using a “perfect” rendered page for the benchmark, which is unrealistic unless the page is completely built for “mobile first” with desktop as secondary.
Other words — minor grain of salt on that.
