WordPress Version 5.9.1 available. Should I go for update?

Hi,

I am using tagDiv’s Newsmag theme v3.4.

WordPress new version 5.9.1 is available. Will there be any issue, if I update it?

Is there any precautions while updating.

Hi,
You are using an old theme version. It is working properly with WordPress 5.9.1 ?
If you want to make a theme update, I recommend to make it first on staging or on subdomain, and only after you have a full backup for the website and database.
What you should do is to update the theme via FTP/cPanel, delete the old theme and set the new one, after that from Newsmag > plugins install the theme plugins. Here is a guide that can be used -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
