Hi,
Please let me know how I can manage to erase ” : ” from the archive page titles.
For expamle: Tag:, Monthly Archive:
I could erase “Tag” or “Monthly” by removing the word on “Translations” on Theme panel.
But ” : ” still remains. I tried to do it by the code on functions.php, failed.
Please let me know how I can manage to do so.
All the best,
Hi,
I need to admit that I have tried some codes with WP side, but failed to erase it.

I thought this is not your theme or plugins matter, so tried.
As I mentioned, I removed the word “tag” by translations. ” : ” still remains.
Thank you for your support in advance.
All the best,
Hello @mode8.jp!
You can change it very easy from Translations. Search about the word you need to change in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Translations -> Translations and replace the word from the right side:: https://prnt.sc/Vaj0AMCRm2fy
Thank you!
Hi,
I am not sure if you read my message, I do know that I can change or erase the word such as “Tags” and such by translations.
ALL I need is to erase ” : ” from the title.
I hope you understand what I am asking you.
I will say this again. ” : ” still remains on the title and need to erase it.
I have tried to change and erase it by the code but failed to do so.

Hello @mode8.jp!
I’ve tested on my end and it seems to work, please check: https://www.screencast.com/t/gAP24hUvlQ
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
Hi,
There are two thing which I need to ask you.
1) On your side, how about “tag”? it seems “tag” has not ” : “. Will this work on “tag” as same as others?
2) This might be the language issue (Japanese). Still it should be erased as you mentioned, is there any way to erase it? Do I need to touch the language file? I really do not want to do this way.
Hi,
First, it was same result below, before or after changing the language. Since the theme already adapt the language which I have chosen on WP.
I need to type “<space>” to erase “tag”, otherwise it still shows up “tag” even if nothing on the form.
After all, it will remains ” : ” on the title.
I have not tested other archives such as weekly, monthly or yearly on this site since this is the staging site.
Still, it seems it would be the same. On the left of the form, it displays “Monthly Archives:”, but there is a word “Monthly Archives (in Japanese)” WITHOUT ” : “.
This is the screenshot after I erased the word and type “space”.
Therefore, ” : ” is already set on somewhere on php code and cannot be erased or hide with our side.
I hope you understand what I am trying to explain.
Hi,
I found the solution, but I should not write how I did it on here, since it is a customizing the file.
“For the tag there isn’t this symbol “:” in our theme. ”
No, it is on your plugin, meaning it is on your theme.
I do understand your team gets a lot of questions everyday and it is a hard work.
Still, before you answer, please read our issues carefully before you do.
Deactivating plugins, changing with other themes…, we are not great wp users or professionals like you, but some users are already done what you always tell us to do. = spending a lot of time to solve…
“Or try to delete it with some CSS” ?? Please do not mention anything if you will not provide any ideas. CSS will not delete the word, it is only hiding it.
Anyway, if you do not want to leave this message or topic, please erase it.
I do really love this theme and your great work, but sometimes your voices are “too light” or “no knowledge for solving issues” for customers even if we understand how difficult to keep up the customer support.
All the best,
