After publishing a new post. I went to do an edit on it to correct a mistake. I found it is now stuck in htmk edit mode and I cannot get back to normal wordpress post view.
Any ideas about this issue.
I have already tried user profile and tried to tick disable visual editor. But it after saving the tick automatically removes. I did not change anything on my site. It just happened after creating a new post. And now I cannot create or change any posts because it is stuck in html edit view

Sorry I resolved my issue
For some strange reason the “nickname” field in my user profile had been cleared/removed and it no longer had the nickname “admin” within this field in user the user profile. I stumbled across this fix myself as their is no documentation about the fix to my problem published anywhere. This is also the reason why I was not able to save the disable html editor option after putting the tick in the box.
Checking for virus now.

Stuck In html editor – solution – check nickname field in user profile is not empty. If so make sure nickname is same name as the login account name
