Featured image – video thumb

Hello,

whenever I add a featured video on a post, it shows correctly the video inside the post https://i.imgur.com/JztbWxB.png, but for example on the homepage I cannot see the video thumb but just a placeholder https://i.imgur.com/OVov7qW.png

Can you please help me?

Hi,
I think that your website is this one -> https://sienapost.it/ and I see that now the featured image it is show -> https://i.imgur.com/44tQYXV.png
If that is not your website, then please provide a link to it.

Hi Calin,

yes the website url is correct. It should be noted that I’m talking about video thumbs, not featured images. However, I did a new test earlier and the video thumb is correctly shown. Is it possible that it depends on the quality/length of the video uploaded or any other option YouTube related?

Hello Fabiola,

Normally it should not be a problem related to the quality/length of the uploaded video, but it is possible that the cache plugin used will deliver the same version for a certain period of time.

sorry, I did not get the problem about the cache plugin. Can you please elaborate?

I did a few more tests and some works properly while others don’t.

I just checked and seems to be displayed fine the featured images -> https://i.imgur.com/geS0z36.png -> https://i.imgur.com/qmFQhbZ.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/8JfFatO.png
Can you give me a post as an example where the featured image is not displayed?
