Newspaper background awful resolution

Hi,
I tried to use the background functionality on my website – http://www.minibasket.com.pl. Unfortunately the results are far from expected. I am using a photo with about 2100/1300 px resolution and the site trims it to 300/130 px or something. How can I change it so it looks decent? How can I force the site to use original resolution of the photo? I want to achieve an effect similar to http://www.pzkosz.pl.

Hello,

The background image can be blurry when the image is smaller and need to be stretched or when you have set a smaller thumb for that image, make sure that you set the full size for the image that you have set as background, for example-> https://i.imgur.com/OknhKDS.jpg
