TD Composer not compatible with PHP 8.1 and PHP 8.0

Hi

I migrated my site to new server and tried getting the site working with the latest PHP. Tested with 8.0 and 8.1 and the site breaks down (works fine with 7.4 and 7.3).

When I turned off all plugins, it worked fine. Then I turned all one by one and the problem starts with TD composer.

The unpleasant surprise for me is that TD composer has become a black box plugin. Turning it off breaks my website completely. It was not like that when I chose Newspaper as my theme. This is crazy. No site should break down for turning off a plugin!!!

Hello!

If you uninstall the Tagdiv Composer, then all the elements from this plugin won’t display on your website.

Thank you!

So this is your solution? Are you going to do anything to make it compatible with PHP 8.0 and 8.1?

And are you saying that deactivating it breaks the site, but uninstalling completely will make the site work properly?

Hello!

My recommendation is to downgrade your PHP version because these versions were not fully tested.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience!

Thank you for understanding!

PHP 8.0 came out end of 2020!!! Almost 2 years ago!! What are testing for if not for this??? PHP 8.0 and especially 8.1 show considerable performance gain over 7.x

This should be your priority! Not speaking of the problems it caused me and probably many others getting the site down and playing around disabling/enabling all the plugins identifying the culprit and finding that it is the main plugin of my theme!!!

So that you know, 7.4 support for security updates will be stopped before the end of this year. So, basically, any time.

This should be not just consideration, but priority, because your product will be unsecure.
