Tag Links & CSS / JS – Cache

Hello,
Today I have two things on my list:

1.
My CSS/JS cache from Autooptimize runs up to over 300 MB in three days. Sometimes more. What is going wrong and how can I fix it? Because I have the feeling that the page gets slower as the cache size increases.

2.
I’ve discovered the power of tag links for specific terms in posts. So that the user can discover other posts with a suitable tag. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to set them in “Magazine Pro”. In “Week Pro”, after clicking on “Link” and entering the term, the corresponding tags are also displayed. Could this also be due to a setting in Yoast Seo Pro?
Or what do I have to do to be able to use this function in Magazine Pro as well?

Hi,

1. Normally if the settings are like in our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/autoptimize-install-configuration/ then the size should not grow so fast.
Also, you can check the answers from the Autotomize forum about this “problem” -> https://wordpress.org/support/topic/autoptimize-cache-filling-up-quickly/

2. That option should work on all demo. If the tag is displayed on posts, and the problem is only when you click on it, then it can be an option from the Yoast SEO. Please do a test with the Yoast plugin disabled, if is working, the is an option from that plugin.

Thank you!

Hi Calin,
I’ll try that with the Autooptimize settings, as specified there by the support.

The problem that I am not seeing the link to certain “tag” terms persists even without Yoast. For example, if I have the term “Konzertsommer”, then only post and url are suggested, no tag.

Thomas

Hi,
Can you please provide a link to a post that has tags set? Maybe the tags element is not set in the single post template with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/HhF0Rni.png -> https://i.imgur.com/R07gwYy.png
Thank you!

Hi Calin,

naturally. But it actually seems to be related to Yoast. They have “link suggestions” in the Pro version.

https://www.fehnblogger.de/geil-dass-ihr-wieder-alle-da-seid–25175/.html

They must have messed things up with that, because if I delete unused tags via the WordPress dashboard, then Yoast wants to do 410 redirects and one of the unused tags even has the start page disappear and a 404 error page is displayed.

Unfortunately I don’t know how to fix this. I don’t trust the database.

I just checked the database. For some reason there are term_group 0’s and 1’s and lots of hash values. I don’t know where they come from.

By the way, the cache problem was solved with the help of your link.

Hi Calin,

this is apparently a known issue with Yoast. The response from support:

The issue seems to happen when there’s a mismatch between term_id and term_taxonomy_id values. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! We apologize for the trouble you are currently experiencing with our plugin.

You are actually not the first to report this issue. That means a bug report has been created and is under review by our product team.

thx for your great help

Hi,
I’m glad that the cache problem was resolve.
I hope that the developers from Yoast plugin to find a solution for the coming plugin update.
Thank you!
