Google reCAPTCHA comments

Hi,

Something doesn’t seem to work quite right with the reCAPTCHA in combination with the comments.

If I press the send button without entering information in the comments form, I get the attached message (here). I didn’t get this before, but I did since activating the reCAPTCHA. The comment form works completely ajax and that is neater. Many themes use the default error message from wordpress (see image) it seems that this has now also returned in Newspaper..

Can you take a look at this?

This error appears if Google thinks that you are a bot or spammer or something and therefore it tries to force you to do something and gets an error. Had a similar problem.

You can change recaptcha score, make it easier to let go through users with worse score too, and see does it fix your issue.

Also, check your plugins that none of them already offer Recaptcha, you know two recaptchas do not work properly together. Remove all other recaptcha plugins or plugins which is coming already with recaptcha. Then set it up through theme panel, check that you use recaptcha v3 and all keys are correct. Clear your cache. It should work now.

Thanks for you reply. I set the recaptcha score to 0,0 but it doesnt work.
