Hi, we’ve tried all kinds of emails – corporate, gmail accounts … the confirmation email never arrives.
So still our administrator email is no-reply@example.com
We run a series of other websites: not a problem anywhere else.
Our wordpress team suspects it’s a bug in the code. Can you please check it?

Interesting, it’s such a generic, basic function. Not sure how this can fail.
We tried with a series of other sites. Works fine.
On my wordpress site with newspaper11/tagdiv the email that needs to be confirmed never arrives. It’s also not in spam, all mail, etc.
Corporate mail account tried, gmail tried, etc. etc. nothing works.

I think there is a conflict there or a restriction which does not allow the email to be sent.
Make a test and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones. If you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it and see if the problem goes away.
