Good morning everyone! After the update to WP 6.1 and Newspaper 12.1, the gallery does not work as before. In the editor it looks ok but in the preview/published the images in the gallery are stacked vertically instead of collaged or next to each other. It happens on both desktop and mobile. Anyone else run into this?

By the way. I tried activating the default theme in WordPress and then the gallery works as it should. I then reactivated Newspaper and then the gallery crashes again. A friend is also running WP 6.1 but an older version of Newspaper and there too everything looks fine. So something seems to have happened in connection with WP 6.1 and Newspaper 12.1.

I think I use the standard settings. Insert gallery, then I chose full size on the photos and that’s it. Sometime I use 3 column and other times 2 column. No custom code and no other margin/padding settings.

Ah, that’s an idea. I’ve already downgraded my WP installation, perhaps I give it a try with WP 6.1 in the weekend (or just wait to an updated NP). 🙂

I just updated to NP 12.3 (from 12.1) and WP 6.11 and this gallery issue is still there. Lightbox option is off so that didn’t solve the problem. It’s on both desktop and mobile.
