Hello Team,

Someone has accessed my site and has added a script “https: // news . weatherplllatform . com / counter . js” which redirects my site to some random sites.

Please help.

I recommend you to install the theme on a fresh install of WordPress.

Thanks for your reply.

If I do that, then I will lose all my data. Is there any other way to find this javascript code and delete it from the source code. I am unable to find it in theme files.

Hello @vijay!

Please note that this script is not from our theme, which is why you cannot find it in the theme files.
Check it in the first folder of your website on the server.
You can create a backup or use Duplicator to locate the site locally.

Yes, I checked the server files too, found 2 such files, deleted them. Other than that, I couldn’t find the source code which is infected. However, if I check source-code, then I am able to see it. Don’t know what I am missing here.

To be sure that your website is no longer infected, I suggest you make a full backup and try a fresh install of WordPress.
