Sidebar on pages not showing in TagDiv editor

When editing in the TagDiv editor the page template does not show me the sidebar to edit. I see it on the front end so I know it exists. The post, category page, and homepage templates do not have this issue.

Hello @CatholicSpirit!

If any element from that page is not built in the TagDiv Composer, then you cannot edit it. It could be a default sidebar or one from another builder.

Thank you!

I’m running newspaper_magazine_pro out of the box in a development environment. If I’ve inadvertently changed it to a default sidebar how do I get it back?

Hello @catholicspirit!

Deactivate the sidebar you’ve added before. You can build a sidebar with the TagDiv Composer. Steps:
1. Insert one new row (or delete an existing one).
2. Divide into two columns (2/3 + 1/3).
3. You can add whatever element you want into the second column and consider it a sidebar.

Thank you!

I can see how that would work. How would I put general text in the 2/3 column. This is for the static pages.

Hello @catholicspirit!

Drag and drop any elements you need into columns. For adding some text, you can use the element called “Inline text”.

Thank you!
