So, I tried to use the “tabbed content” from the composer, but honestly its a terrible design. The how to is also terrible and doesn’t actually tell how to. I was able to get a box, with a red button labeled “tabbed content”, but that was it. Then I read that only 5 tabs can be made? I couldn’t even make 1 tab show up no matter what I did, but only 5 is not good.
So I tried to just create my own. I had great success on this but the tabs are not existent on mobile, ios specifically, haven’t tried android. I have looked and looked and looked and all the information I keep seeing about tabs not working is about theme conflicts, but when I disabled all plugins, it still didn’t show up. I then went 1 at a time activating, and the tabs still don’t show up.
I don’t understand, why is this so hard? I am fairly familiar with front end and back end development, no expert of course but do I really have to go into the files and do this myself or am I missing something obvious?
Just want to be clear though, I am very happy with this Newspaper theme, but what I need it for, I cannot accomplish without tabbed/accordian type navigation on same page. Document preservation type of thing.
I need to clarify. On IOS and Android, the tabs are nonexistent. On my ipad, they are there.
Hello,
Please check our guide -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/use-tabbed-content-shortcode/ you need to set the page ids -> https://i.imgur.com/cpCasY4.png
Thank you!
I’m well aware the page id’s must be set, but regardless they are not showing up on IOS, nor is my own code. What’s blocking my own code from showing on ios? Also, why does the tabbed content require a “page” for the said content? Why not have the tabs, and a content area like a typical feature rather than having to create and entire page for a single tabbed content. For example, I have 7 articles I want available under the tabs so that someone doesn’t have to scroll all the way to the bottom to read them. So under this tabbed content option, I have to create an entire page, which might only contain 1-5 paragraphs per? Seems excessive and slow.
