Just wondering if it is expected – I have created new wordpress website, imported my posts, tried using search – works as expected – “mydomain.com/?s=&post_type=post” returns all posts.
After installing Newspaper theme and importing “Doctors Pro” template including content, this search query is not working anymore – it returns doctors taxonomy.
Question – is this expected behaviour? I hope that I can separate these searches, as I would like to have both blog post search and listing search available on my website.
Could I achieve this by using WordPress multisite? I could use “staging” license as my second wordpress installation which would work as listing part of web, and keep other one only for blog posts.
Seems like I solved my issue. But I still have question – can I set different search template for custom post type?

Unfortunately, you can’t assign a different search template for CPT. You can set the post type for search here -> https://i.imgur.com/Ls3EytL.png
