Hello –
Is there a reason why I cannot override the default post template within the post settings itself?
I am using Default Pro, and the only way I can change the post template is within the theme panel, which of course changes the template for all posts. If I want to change the template for an individual post, changing the settings when editing the post has no effect on the post.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you,
Joe
Hi Joe,
This is interesting. First please check the console, it is possible to have some errors or maybe some plugins that are blocking you to set the individual template. Normally you should be able to set it from this place – https://i.imgur.com/SaaOYgi.png (If you have the tagdiv Standard pack plugin enabled all the standard templates will be there, also if you have more cloud single post templates will be there).
Thank you!
Yes, I understand how/where to set the template on a per-post basis. Unfortunately, changing it there does nothing. The only way to change the template is in the theme panel, which changes the template for all posts – something I don’t want to do. Is there someone who could login and take a look?
Thank you,
Joe
Hi Joe, to set the template as individual on posts you can do it from the back of the post – https://i.imgur.com/RwekuVt.png or frontend – https://i.imgur.com/pTDD0t2.jpg
Thank you!

Yes, I understand how to change the template settings. The problem is that it only works on the theme panel. Changing the settings for the individual posts doesn’t do anything. I updated the theme & TD plugins, deactivated all non-NP plugins… no luck. Any chance someone in TD support might be able to take a look?
Thank you,

Hello Joe,
So, you can’t assign individual templates, from the front end?
Yes, we can take a look, for this please get in touch with us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and please provide wp-admin access and the link to this topic to identify you.
Thank you!
