I received an email from ThemeForest to download the most recent Newspaper Update.
What’s next? Need instructions to avoid mistakes.. Thanks

I just completed the update,
I followed method 1 here:

Then I updated the Visual Composer by doing this:

And everything seems fine.

Hi,
First backup the files and the database – https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Then, as GadgetViper said, chose one of the methods described in the documentation.
Also update the plugins, you can find them in the theme package, inside the Plugins folder – http://screencast.com/t/ffz7PjVTgSA
