A video thumbnail for self-hosted videos

Hi 🙂

I have a problem with embeding\showing vertical videos (9×16)…

I am creating a website for a TikTok agency for a client. Video examples (portfolio) should be shown as vertical videos.

However, when I put a Youtube iframe embed video (#shorts vertical YT videos), the videos look like the screenshot below. They are small and horizontal.

I found a solution with “self-hosted” videos. They are displayed as they should be, but I don’t know how to display the thumbnail image.

How do I add a thumbnail for self-hosted videos in the “Video Embed” element?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hello,

You can’t add a thumb for self-hosted videos. Also, please change the height and width -> https://i.imgur.com/lfMzj5c.png

Thank you!

Thanks for the fast answer

I know I can’t because that option doesn’t exist… that’s why I asked for help…

Can someone from your developers help me, or should that feature be added to the next version?

Thanks

Hello,

I will add it, but I don’t know when it will be implemented.
For example, I saw in your screenshots a width and height too large https://i.imgur.com/D4Zo53U.png for video shorts and that is why they are displayed like that.

Thank you!
