Hi, I have a category, “sports” along with several subcategories “local sports 1,” “local sports 2,” “buckeyes”
I want one module to filter in only stories containing local sports 1 and local sports 2. I want another module that filters in only stories specifically categorized “sports” and “buckeyes”
The problem I’m having is that all stories in the subcategories get filtered into the main sports category, even if it’s not selected as a category. Because of this, all stories categorized as local sports are flowing into the module that should only contain “sports” and “buckeyes”
I need to find a way to have only sports (not the subcategories in sports) and the other subcategory filter into that module. Can you please help me?
This is the page I’m working with https://www.portsmouth-dailytimes.com/ – The modules are Local Sports and College and Pro Sports. You can see the posts from local are duplicated into the college and pro sports section and they shouldn’t be.

A workaround there could be to use a tag and filter by the tag slug the block from the tab Filter -> https://i.imgur.com/bq7qdL6.png
