I’m lost on this one. I have separate sidebar which is called posts it is choosen in the Theme Panel for blog and post template to be a default “post sidebar”. What’s more odd posts from other categories have different sidebars.

Yes if you have a custom sidebar for each category page this will be also displayed on articles from that category. This will overwrite your settings from “Blog and Post template” like choosing a custom sidebar from backed for each post(this will overwrite setting from Theme Panel ) – http://screencast.com/t/Htmr6cSr

Sorry for digging but it has changed since Newspaper4? because recently I’ve updated my website to newspaper6 and lost my custom changes.
