Hello,
I use the tagdiv composer to generate my category and tag templates. As pagination I use the Load more button. Anyway, my website creates archive pages with duplicate content. F. ex.:
https://rauf-und-davon.at/tourenberichte/page/2/
https://rauf-und-davon.at/tourenberichte/page/3/
https://rauf-und-davon.at/tourenberichte/page/4/
https://rauf-und-davon.at/tourenberichte/page/5/
https://rauf-und-davon.at/tourenberichte/page/6/
https://rauf-und-davon.at/tourenberichte/page/7/
https://rauf-und-davon.at/tourenberichte/page/8/
https://rauf-und-davon.at/tourenberichte/page/9/
Each link shows the same page. Do you know why this is happening and how i can prevent that / delete these pages?
All the best,
Daniel
PS: I use the mobile theme as well. There, i want these pages of course. But there each page has different content.
Hello Daniel!
Did you use the numbered pagination before, and have you indexed the website?
You shouldn’t index those URLs on Google. You need to exclude them, and you won’t have these issues. You can restrict some pages using a SEO plugin, like Yoast, which is tested with our theme. After every modification, you need to reindex your website on Google. It may take some more time.
Thank you!
Hello Daniel!
Check out the guide: https://yoast.com/wordpress-noindex-post/

Hello Bettina,
ah, you mean these restricts. Of course i know these settings. Actually i want to index my category and tag pages. The problem is, that the theme somehow creates this subpages that all have the exact same content. I use Newspaper from the first second so i guess the theme did it?
I Just want the https://rauf-und-davon.at/tourenberichte with the load more button and no /page/2/, /page/3/ and so on … Because these are all pages with duplicate content. You know what i mean?
Hello Daniel!
The theme can not generate these pages. It could be from WordPress or a plugin conflict.
Please check and deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
I just deactivated all Plugins but the pages were still there.
But i think i know now, where these pages come from. When i deactivated the Tagdiv Composer, the Category page turned to this: And there you can see this 9 pages:
So does this help to get rid of them? 😀
All the best,
Daniel
