When using the search it adds a 2f to the end of each page url and creates a 404

Hi,

Hoping someone can help with this. We have an issue on our site. When you do a search and then use the pagination at the bottom they all go to 404 page. This is because a “%2f” is being appended to every url. Check it out for yourself: https://research.macrosynergy.com/?s=inflation

Go to above link then click on any number in pagination.

I’ve checked how the search works and it uses esc_url function but even when removing this it has no effect so perhaps its coming from somewhere else.

Any help greatly appreciated. Perhaps I’ve caught a bug?

FYI site is hosted on Kinsta so Nginx setup so no access to htaccess file.

Thanks

Hi,

Have you checked for a plugin conflict? Please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.

Thank you!

Hi,

There are no plugins relating to the search, I tried switching off the redirect plugin and that made no difference.

Nothing else should affect it.

I noticed if you start clicking around the pages and moving back it actually changes the search term and you start to see the slashes in there. It’s like the search form is creating the trailing slashes.

I will attempt to switch all plugins off but it is a live site so I will have to create a staging site.

I take it this has not been reported before as a bug then?

Hello,

Even this type of problem was not signaled, do you have an option for two-factor authentication set somehow on the links? Please let me know the results.

Thank you!

I found the issue, it is a conflict with the “Multiple Domain Mapping on single site” Version 1.1.1 | By Matthias Wagner – FALKEmedia

Thanks for your quick responses. You can mark this as resolved.
