How to do Image Bulk conversion from JPG/PNG/GIF –> WebP for NewsPaper?

I’ve got 3,500 images with JPG, PNG, GIF format.
I want to speed up my site and want to convert ALL images to WebP.

I know about Imagify, WP Smush Plugins.
Is it ok if I run one plugin from the list for Newspaper Template?

OR
Do you have any workaround how to transform iamges to WebP in Bulk and free?

I want to Run WP Plugin for it – Smush Pro (https://wpmudev.com/project/wp-smush-pro/). Is it compatible for Newspaper Template?
May I start optimization?

Unfortunately, we do not have any features like this in our theme or a tested plugin.
You can try to convert with any plugin, but be careful of an eventual plugin conflict.

One more question: If I want to transform all WP images from JPG –> WebP manually.
Is it possible to replace Database setting with filename.JPG to filename.webp?
How to be with Template?
