Dear Sirs,
In a new site https://shop.trplane.com i am trying different things that i believe dont work or i dont know how to do it:
1.- I imported a new template only for author template, but appears the “general” one, not the one i choose. I changed in theme builder, cloud templates, etc
2.- I want to include in home page a module called “EventOn”. I mention this one as an example. Is there anyway to inlude a module, using a shortcode or wathever in the home page or othe template page?
3.- From another site owned by me (a gallery), the site has de capacility to create a gallery with videos and images. It produces an rss, Can an rss be included, for example, in the author page or home page? (ie “latest images”)
Thanks
Hello,
1. Please make sure that you have set it global, or if you have an individual template for each author, then you can set an individual author template for the users that have the role (administrator, editor, and author) from Theme Panel -> Template Settings -> Author Template => https://i.imgur.com/zwNB4y0.png
2. If this is from a plugin, then a shortcode can be inserted by using the element called “Column text” or “Text with the title”.
“Column text” and “text with title” elements have a button called “edit content” and if you click on that button, the WP Editor will open, and you can add some text/code/shortcode there. Close the WP Editor from X, save the changes from Composer, and view the page to see the changes.
3. Our theme has an element for the gallery, but I think it doesn’t work as you want. You can try it.
Thank you!
Perfect for the points 2 and 3. The point 1 there is no way. I test different ways and there is no option. Could it be a question based in the plugin “Ultimate Members” i am using? i need a plugin to create lots of fields for an author that later appears in the author page. Any suggestion?
Hi,
So, do you use a plugin for authors? You can create an Author Template, and use custom fields if you can; and then you can display them using custom field -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/custom-fields-support/
Thank you!
