How to modify (add additional properties to) default Article schema

Hi,

This is regarding the default Article schema. There is an option to turn it on and turn it off. I want to use it and don’t want to disable it.

However, I want to add a few properties to the schema. As of now, it contains only the bare minimum required properties. Is there a way I can add more properties to the schema? Is there a way to edit it a bit?

(Note: I am aware of SEO plugins giving an option to add schema. That is not a solution I am looking for. I just want to add some more fields to the already existing default Article schema. Possible?)
