Using Visual Composer 'Post Grid' in a Page

I’m trying to use the ‘Post Grid’ from the Visual Composer, in a Page.

Here are my settings for the Post Grid. You can see I have set the grid to be two items wide (right-click and open image in new window if you can’t see!):

However, the items all appear full width (edited to add – I added a sidebar, which isn’t reflected in the settings screenshot above):

What’s wrong here?

Hi,

Do you use Visual Composer version licensed to the theme? Or did you buy it?
For the moment some Visual Composer element don’t work fine with the theme and they are disabled from functions to not appear in backend. So if you have enabled post grid, it may not work properly that’s why it was disabled.
All these issues will be fixed in version 5 of the theme.

Thanks!

We used the Visual Composer version that came with the theme download. ‘Post Grid’ is one of the available options in the editor. So it seems that some incompatible options have not yet been removed from Visual Composer.

Hi,

As Alin pointed using the theme’s Visual Composer plugin, that VC element along with others should not appear in VC elements list ad they all were disable by. You can check your functions file for this function and check if you have the same: http://screencast.com/t/rES76ro4

All Visual Composer elements will be added and fixed from version 5 of the theme including the post grid elements.

Please also provide your site’s URL or admin login if possible and/or if you want us to look into this to see why those vc elements appear in your editor if we have disabled them and you haven;t enabled them from your function file and you sue the VC version provide by us so they shouldn’t.

The first thing that springs to mind, is that we are using the child theme (as we plan to make customisations). Could this be the reason that those lines in functions.php are not taking effect?

Edited to add: we have not yet made any code changes at all – this is a fresh install.

Hi,

It shouldn’t if there aren’t any customizations made to the functions file trough child theme. You can test this by switching to the main theme and check if those VC elements are loaded within the VC page builder.
If you can’t figure this out please give wp-access so we can have a closer look at this and send your wp-admin login details via email at contact@tagdiv.com and also provide a link to this tread.

Thanks
