While I know you dont support sorting by custom fields in a flex block out of the box. Is there away through custom code to add sorting by a custom field to the flex block builder. I am creating an event section for my website and need to be able to sort the events by the event date.

If you have the latest version 12.6, you can filter the blocks using custom filed, the custom filed needs to be the type of text assigned to the posts, or CPT and use this value in the post id or use type acf type true/falser to include,exclude posts https://i.imgur.com/bpiJMXL.png

Thanks for the response, but I am looking to sort by custom field not filter. Specifically what I am trying to accomplish is I have a custom post type called “industry events”, within the events is the “event date”, I want to display the events using the Flex Block Builder and have the events sorted in order of the “event date” so upcoming events show first.
